Wholesale Accounts

  • We need your basic information, including delivery address, accounts payable contact, and ordering contact. We also need your credit card number or information on how you will pay for your first shipment.

  • As a wholesaler, we have to keep track of what our customers have purchased as part of our food safety requirements imposed by the FDA. This is so we are able to track where our products have gone if there is a recall (this is extremely rare).

    If you are an individual customer, you can set up a wholesale account and order on www.napanuts.store.

  • No. We sell all of our products at wholesale prices, whether or not you own a business. However, our wholesale customers who own a business receive bulk discounts. Start the set up process by filling out our online application HERE or by emailing newcustomers@napanuts.com.

    If you are an individual who is not buying products on behalf of your business, you will receive your items in compostable bags in 1 lb., 2 lb. & 5 lb. quantities. The best way to order is by ordering on www.napanuts.store.


Payment Terms

  • No.

  • We always ask for the first order to be prepaid or COD. Afterward commercial customers are given Net 10 terms. Net 30 terms and T10 are available with approval.

  • Napa Nuts’ customers can pay by check, cash, credit card, or PayPal. For commercial customers, credit card payments can be set up to charge automatically at the time of each order (prepaid) or cumulatively on the 10th of the following month (T10). (For example, if you place 3 orders in March, we will charge your credit card for all 3 orders on April 10.)

    New and existing non-business customers can place an order at www.napanuts.store.

  • There is no "shop" at our warehouse. Napa Nuts is a wholesaler--we take orders and fill them per order. We do not have pre-packaged items that you can pull off of a shelf.

    Orders will be filled in the order they are received with priority given to business customers. We are unable to provide on-demand services to walk-up customers (this was also true before the pandemic and is customary with wholesale businesses like Napa Nuts).

    Placing an order on the web at www.napanuts.store is the fastest way for a non-business customer to get an order processed. We ask for at least 2 business days to have orders ready, but we will fulfill everything as quickly as possible and usually faster than expected.

  • We have a 1 lb. minimum for bulk orders.

    For packaged products, the minimum is 6 pieces per single item.

    Special orders (products we don’t have in stock) may be subject to a higher minimum.

  • We offer discounts if you purchase full cases instead of splits. Cases are usually 25-30 lbs. If we don’t have the open the box, you save some money.

    We offer a larger discount on orders over 100 lbs of any one product.

  • Yes, we provide free 2 oz. samples to commercial customers. We just need you to sign up as a potential new customer HERE.

Receiving Orders

  • We do our best to fulfill orders within 24-48 hours of receiving them.

    For the scheduled delivery routes, we require that orders be placed before noon on the day before your delivery but prefer orders be placed 2 business days ahead of delivery.

    Larger numbers of packaged items, special order items, and custom blends may take longer but usual lead times are 2-4 weeks. Please inquire about an estimated delivery time when you order.

  • We offer free delivery for commercial customers once a week based on the following schedule:

    Monday - Napa, Yountville, Carneros

    Tuesday - Sacramento, Davis, Vacaville, Fairfield, American Canyon, Vallejo

    Wednesday - Marin County, San Francisco, Petaluma, Oakland, Berkeley

    Thursday - Sonoma, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Calistoga, Napa Valley

    Free delivery is upon approval only. Free delivery is location and time dependent. Please ask if your location will qualify.

    We also offer free pickup at the Napa Nuts’ Warehouse of any order during business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm). Please call ahead.

  • We actively look for the best shipping rates for our customers. We use the US Postal Service for many of the smaller orders.

    We have exceptional contracts for discounted shipping with UPS, FedEx and GLS. We can getgreat rates for pallet-sized shipments.

    The cost of freight is completely dependent on how much you order and delivery location. Napa Nuts ships all orders from Napa, California.

    We are happy to provide shipping quotes as long as you provide us with the following information:

    Approximate weight of shipment;

    Exact delivery address;

    Whether the delivery address is in a residential or commercial location; and

    How fast you would like to receive the delivery.

  • Generally, no. We only ship domestically in the United States. However, we will ship to a U.S. based consolidator if the customer coordinates all of the freight arrangements.

    Nothing will leave the Napa Nuts warehouse for international customers without full payment.


Packaging

  • Case orders come in the original box from the grower or distributor. Usually this is corrugated cardboard with a plastic bag inside.

    For business customers, bulk wholesale orders of less than a case come packed in a food-safe poly bag with a twist tie. The accumulation of poly bags will come in a recycled box.

    For non-business/web order customers, your orders will come in compostable and food-safe bags, unless otherwise noted. Certain items do not pack well in compostable bags (like fruit cake mix and date paste) or cannot be packed in compostable bags because of food safety protocols (like peanuts); in these cases, the products will come in clear, poly bags.

  • We have an array of retail and gift packaging options seen HERE. We can also pack items in your custom designed packaging.

    Bulk orders can be packed in multiple bags of a custom weight (i.e. all one pound, or all five pound) for a small additional fee.

  • It depends on what you order but generally we will need 2-5 weeks lead time from when your order is finalized and confirmed to when it is ready to be shipped or delivered.

    Large orders will take longer to package. We are way busier during the holidays and will need more lead time. We ask that you place your orders for packaged products as early as possible.

    We will always complete orders faster than the predicted lead time when we can.

  • We pack everything by hand and do not have machines packing for us.

    We pack everything to order to optimize freshness so our packaging items are never sitting on a shelf.

    We also mix all of our custom blends and trail mixes by hand to order to optimize freshness.


Labeling

  • Yes! We just ask that the customer provide hi-resolution artwork in .pdf, .jpg, .png, or .tif formats for us to use. Our team will customize your label, and after your approval, our full color label printing machine will get to work.

  • We only provide labels on high gloss white stock in the following sizes:

    2” round

    2” x 2” square

    3” x 3” square

    4” x 4” square

    2'“ x 1.5” rectangle

    4” x 1.5” rectangle

    We do not print solid fill art (i.e., a solid black label with white lettering).

  • We do not charge for custom labeling on packaging as long as we place the labels on the packages ourselves and the labeling meets our legal requirements.

    However, we do charge a one-time set-up fee per customer of $100 for custom labels. We only charge this fee for the main artwork design and do not charge this fee per item requiring a custom label.

    After 2 edits, if your label design requires additional changes, we will charge $25 for every additional edit thereafter.
